Our members come from law enforcement and are active or retired.
BACKGROUNDS
Our members belong to many different churches to include: Nazarene, Methodist, Baptist, Catholic & independent churches & believers. All that is required is the fundamental belief and faith in Jesus Christ as our resurrected savior.
Our mission is to provide an opportunity for law enforcement officers to gather in faith; support one another in our professional and personal journeys; provide and receive discipleship and accountability to one another; learn from the experiences and knowledge of our peers; increase our professional, personal and personal faith success through those opportunities listed above.
Members meet monthly together informally, share a meal, fellowship and listen to a short devotional. Discussion may include concerns, battles members are facing, issues in law enforcement, family concerns or any number of other topics. We have all kinds of participants. Some like to just come and listen, others love to participate in the discussion. It does not matter how much or how little anyone knows about scripture and the Bible. No one is ever called upon or put on the spot. There is never pressure to contribute in any way. Your presence in fellowship is all that is desired.
Regardless of department rank, when we meet and interact as a group - rank and position are not acknowledged or considered. We are all equals as brothers and sisters in Christ. Personal testimonies, discussions about trials and tribulations and all chapter communications are personal, private and confidential. As a matter of practice and principle, it will be kept confidential among the members and leaders. The FCPO offers resources, both nationally and locally to officers and their families.
